I have been interested in health and what makes us healthy all my adult life. From an early age I was active and sporty – studying ballet, doing athletics, playing netball and tennis.
'After a brush with cancer in 2012, I realised I had to re-educate myself on how to shop, cook, eat, exercise and manage my stress levels. The missing ingredient for me was HOW. I moved to buying organic, checking what was on every label, buying and cooking fresh. I reintroduced meditation and yoga to my life. This empowered me during treatment and enabled me to return to good health within a relatively short period of time. I am now cancer and drug free. I use a natural regime of healthy food, natural supplements, exercise and mindfulness to keep me well.' What I've found is, it's much easier than you think to shop, cook and eat healthily!
My professional background is in arts and event management. I am a keen gardener, cook, bushwalker and yoga practitioner. Good healthy food, exercise and mindfulness are central to my life. I am currently undertaking a Professional Certificate of Nutrition (Food Coaching).
